BR4

The Fourth Biennial Report (report and tables) of Belgium under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, submitted on 31 March 2020 (late compared to the date of 1 January 2020), was submitted for review by international experts between 26 and 30 October 2020. The report of the international team is available since 27/01/2021.

The 4th Multilateral Assessment took place on 2 June 2021.

20 December 2017: Belgium submitted its Seventh National Communication before 1 January 2018. The Third Biennial Report is an annex of this Communication (+tables).

The report was submitted for assessment by international experts between 25 and 30 March 2019. The reports of the international team have been available since 12 July 2019:

The 3rd Multilateral Assessment took place on 7 December 2019 at COP25 in Chile.


BR2

Belgium went through its second Multilateral Assessment on 12 November 2016 (during the 45th SBI session in Marrakech). Belgium had to answer several written questions in order to present and defend the progress in the implementation of its actions taken in order to achieve its reduction goals (the sequence starts at 02:08:50).

Belgium’s Second Biennial Report (report and tables) under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change was submitted for assessment by international experts between 7 and 12 March 2016. The report of the international team has been available since 21 June 2016: review BR2.

Belgium continues to enhance its reporting on climate finance in order to report as complete, transparent and correct as possible. In this context some minor errors and omissions were corrected in the tables for 2013 and 2014 communicated in the 2nd Biennial Report (see update tables via the links).

Belgium had to answer several written questions in order to present and defend the progress in the implementation of its actions taken in order to achieve its reduction goals.

Belgium’s Sixth National Communication and the First Biennial Report (report and tables) under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change was submitted for assessment by international experts between 3 and 8 November 2014. The reports of the international team have been available since 23 February 2015:

20 December 2013: Belgium submitted its Sixth National Communication before 1 January 2014 in accordance with decision 9/CP.16. It is available in three languages: EN, FR and NL.
